What are the dates for the All-Star Honor Band Clinic?High School Jazz and Blast Bands: June 2nd - 3rd Three Middle School Ensembles: June 3rd - 4th

Where are the All-Star Band events held?LBA is usually held at the University of Louisiana - Lafayette (ULL), mainly in Angelle Hall - the main Performing Arts Building. It may change from year to year and will be voted on in November. If at ULL, here are some instructions: For check in, park in nearby parking garages and follow all the signs and arrows to check in at the front steps of Angelle Hall (which leads to the lobby of the Ducrest-Gilfry Auditorium). Students will be rehearsing on the Ducrest-Gilfry Auditorium Stage or in a large band or choir rehearsal space within the Angelle Hall Performing Arts Building. All performances will be on the Ducrest-Gilfry Auditorium Stage. More detailed information will be provided to band directors and families after nominations are sent and reviewed.

When are the nomination forms due?On Friday, February 16th, 2024 - Band Directors should receive an email from our High School Blast Band, High School Jazz Band, or Middle School Band coordinators with info on deadlines and how the nomination process works. Please check out our "LBA Board Members" tab to see who you will need to contact for nomination information.

When are Middle School audition recordings due?Middle School auditions are due May 17th, 2024. Once students are selected from the nomination lists, you can access their audition music for their instrument on the "Audition Music" tab of this website. Band Directors should receive an email from our Middle School Band coordinator with info on deadlines and how the audition process works. ***High School students will not need to audition once selected from the nomination forms.

What is the schedule for the event?For the High School Blast and Jazz Bands, the schedule is as follows: Sunday, June 2nd 9:00 a.m. – Registration 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Rehearsal 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Lunch on your own 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Rehearsal Monday, June 3rd 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Rehearsal 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch on your own 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Report to auditorium in jeans and L.B.A. T-shirt, Set Up 2:00 p.m. – Concert For the Middle School Honor Bands, the schedule is as follows: Monday, June 3rd 9:00am – Registration/Placement 9:30am – 12:00pm Rehearsal 12:00pm – 1:30pm Lunch on your own 1:30pm – Meet & Walk 2:00pm – 3:00pm Jazz & Blast Concert 3:00pm – 6:30pm Rehearsal Tuesday, June 4th 8:00am – 12:00pm Rehearsal 12:00pm – 1:30pm Lunch on your own 1:30pm – Report to auditorium in jeans and L.B.A T-shirt, Set Up 2:00pm – Concert
